Cooking up some fun!
We tried artzone in HB for the first time this morning with Kat & Luca. The boys got creative & their sensory systems were overloaded! Where to start - a clay sculpture, paint using the easels, with rainbow stamps, make a collage card for fathers day? Nahhh let's play in the dress up room with the comforts like teddies, cars & tea sets! But once the boys had built a little comfort in their surrounds they braved the wet room aka "mud hut cafe" & there was no turning back! Good times were had!

Just add water
Aside from the astonishing rate at which Augustus continues to grow, I have been quite thrilled lately that our garden has been doing a little blooming & thriving. I am so lucky that I get to enjoy the simple joys that comes with playing in the backyard with my little man everyday! Augustus is quite the gardener!

Sundays are such fun days!
First & foremost there is mums sleep in, then the wonderful breakfast Dada cooks up.
But today was extra fun, we hit up the kids rock festival with the olivaris at la brea tar pits!
A quick stop by lactravaganza to celebrate & support mamas, bubs & breast feeding at lacma, followed by tasty food truck lunch with live music. Ofcourse nothing could beat the fun of tumbling downhill though!!

Choo Choo fun with Finn
We made an overdue adventure with Finn & Beth to ride one of the kids trains in Griffith park. The boys were thrilled when they saw the train drive past & braced themselves for serious fun once aboard. Bonus was lunch at trails cafe with Dad!

Great parks
We traveled to Dayton, Ohio so that Liam & Augustus could meet their great grandparents, Jack & Mary Kay Keyes. It was an important journey to make, although I'm sure Augustus's memory of the trip is not basking in the amazement that he has great grandparents who have experienced some amazing times and lived through a lot of history ... I'd say he more recalls his mother hovered over and behind him for four days saying "don't touch", "sloooow", & "no". Thankfully across the street from the great grandparents house was a great, saving grace, park! Fun times were had!
Dinner & a movie...
The simple pleasures to be had on holidays. Augustus was quick to learn that life on the road came with a few perks ie; mums pantry of special snacks in the suitcase! Gus was all to happy to take in a few cartoons on the tv with a bowl of beloved cranberries - afterall, he was on holidays!!
Flying High
A little to my surprise, traveling solo with my little 20mnth old was, quite ..., well, fun! Last week we flew cross country to dayton, Ohio, and Augustus was a delight to fly with!
I had been a little nervous seeing as though it had been 5 months & many growing milestones since we had flee, I thought perhaps getting him to sit on my lap for 5 hrs was going to be ugly - imagine my surprise when we had fun!
By the end of the first flight Gus had "airplane" down, he loved being in the airport, each flight he returned to the seat we had occupied on the previous flight (took a little convincing that we had a new seat), loved looking out the window & taking off, seeing clouds below & getting his wiggles out, running wildly in airports and experiencing moving walk ways!
