Top of the lot!
I think the highlight of our NZ trip could possibly well have been the last day with all the fam at this odd little cafe. Declining to join the rest of the family on a "thermal walk" to check out the hot hot bubbly smelly geysers, instead we had a little time with the best tractor ever - pint sized trailer towing tractor! Oh and peacocks too!!
Huka Falls
Lots and lots of water!! Loads of negative ions to pump thru the boys lungs and fill them with more energy!
Surfs up!
A kiwi beach with surf able waves! Sun was shining, but the water was still a tad chilly to chase too many waves!
Our haumoana by the sea.
While all the houses we rented on the trip proved to be great in different ways, we all really connected and lived the last house. A hip beach shack set in the dunes right up from the beach, showcasing a collection of retro seaside vignettes, complete with a pizza oven.
Soaking it up in Windy Wellington
Brrrr the wind was certainly blowing on arrival off the ferry into Wellington. Very cool city. And while we didn't live it up hopping from one hip bar to the next, opting for takeaway Thai instead, we did enjoy the hotel and its facilities! A little soak in the hot tub, and motorbikes in the lobby to play with!? More fun...
Biiiig Ship!
Fun times were had catching the ferry between the north & south islands. I mean, we drove the car past the loading tractors, cranes and trains into a tunnel that was the hull of the biiiig ship! Hard to beat this kind of awesome for some of our smaller crew members!
